Hi! I’m Komiyama, focused on crafting UI/UX for the game industry at @Wildlifestudios

Multidisciplinary  designer with over 18 years of career experience, including more than 8 years focused specifically on games. I have had the opportunity to work on various projects for major companies around the world. Passionate about art and solving UI/UX problems.

Playkids [LearnPath]Project2019

The creation process of the "Learning Path" involved the discovery and gamification of videos to add educational value to the PlayKids app. This process included discovery, developing UX/UI, coordination, and art direction.

-- Process--

Art Direction
The art direction focused on creating an environment that matched the game, characters, and UI. The aim was to blend mystery with brightness, appealing to a young audience. Monsters and reward cards were designed to enhance the playful atmosphere.

-- Process--

UI
The UI design expanded the visual theme of the Learning Path. In addition to the interface, character illustrations and project iconography were also created.

UX /Wireframe and Discovery

The UX design focused on creating a simple flow with sound to assist children's interactions. The process involved discovery and flow definitions, entry menus, character customization, and visual progress indicators. Bars and shapes were used to ensure clear and prominent understanding for young users.

[A]. Simple entry path following market standards, with a clean and text-free interface.
[B]. Unlocking behavior to encourage returning to the content.
[C]. Clear progress rewards to boost user engagement.

Puzzle Park
UI/UX2024

Puzzle Park was a challenging project. I had the opportunity to be involved in the redesign process to improve the UI/UX screens and develop some features for the project.

--To enhance the overall game layout, we began with the Match 3 screen. We focused on the concept of park architecture to design the game components. In this process, we drew inspiration from the entrances of various attractions. The first image showcases the before and after, followed by color explorations and sketches created for the game.--

--UI rules were established to ensure components functioned correctly. In the store, color hierarchy and card behavior were defined.--

--Some illustrations were created for the project, going beyond UI, like the card shown above. The animation showcases tests exploring possibilities in Unity, including timeline animations and particle system animations.--

Playkids [Redesign]UI-UX | ART DIRECTION2019
I coordinated the first phase of the redesign for the PlayKids app. The goal was to simplify interactions and make the interface more understandable for non-literate children. This involved introducing a proposal for larger iconography and more intuitive areas to improve parental access. I was involved as the art director and producing the visual aspects as well as developing the UX for this project.

Playkids [Redesign]Interactions--

For the interactions, the decisions for the components included removing buttons, creating a fully interactive environment. Children are more willing to explore than adults, so removing buttons and adding sound elements helps prevent mistakes and keeps children focused on the interactions.

SNIPER 3DUI/UX2022-2023
--As a senior UI/UX designer, I had the opportunity to work on various features and be involved in developing a new visual style, and enhancing both old and new screens for the game.--

--Usability studies evaluate how easily users interact with a UI, identifying issues to improve design. Experience and flows ensure the interface is intuitive, efficient, and enjoyable for users.--

--Special bullet power-up that players can use during gameplay to advance and defeat enemies. This component was inspired by market standards to ensure seamless integration, enhancing the gameplay experience.--
